Our Inspectors

IMCI has a large number of freelance Inspectors who work for us as surveyors in many countries around the world, directly on site and in their mother tongue. Some of them have several decades of experience and are recognised as experts in our industry sector.

Our Inspectors are preferably trained as naval architects or boat builders and receive additional training from IMCI for their specific tasks. All are also regularly trained and audited on applicable standards and legislation. As water sports enthusiasts, they are also well aware of the consumer's point of view.

Cross-national cooperation is quite common between our Inspectors within their network.

Some Inspectors are directly involved in the development and continuous improvement of ISO and/or ABYC standards at international and national level and others are active members of their national marine associations.
